Windows & VM Ware consultant
1.1 Technical Skills (MANDATORY)
-
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
-
MCP OR MCSE OR MCITP Windows Server 2012 OR higher
-
Knowledge of or Certification in ITIL.
-
Performance tuning and recovery for the windows server application.
-
Assistance in monthly Microsoft Security Patch monitoring and manual deployments
-
Assistance in VMware template upgrades (mostly Windows knowledge)
-
Server inventory updates into the relevant database.
-
Assistance in server builds and decommissions
-
Knowledge of VMware ESX
-
Understanding of IP protocols, networking and domain administration
-
Knowledge of systems performance analysis and security tuning.
-
Candidate should have strong knowledge and work experience on VMware ESX virtual infrastructure. Working knowledge of HA, DRS, VDR, FT etc..

Should be aware of RAID concepts and disk management tools
-
Knowledge of toolsets (BMC Remedy, Nagios, OP5, MOM, Splunk etc.)

Strong in communication to interact with a client for Change approval and high priority issue handling
-
Performing troubleshooting on windows based server like Exchange, AD Services, FTP, Fileserver etc.
-
Patching and version verification of Windows server and Microsoft Application.
-
Configuring Group policies server, computer, and user operations.
-
Troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange, Lync 2013, Active Directory, Federation Services. With an advance skill for Error log debugging and finding Root Cause analysis.

Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer/Server operating systems.
-
Basic Understanding of VMware Server.
-
Hands on experience on Windows 2008 / 2012 / 2016 servers.
-
Hands on experience in Windows / AD / DNS / DHCP/ (Windows Backup) /VMWare (Virtual Machines).
-
Configuration on management of Printer server and services.
-
Patch management, change Management and Inventory management for Windows Based Server and Application.
-
Ensuring proactive check\testing on environments for production, disaster recovery, development for high availability and uptime.
-
Hands on experience on soft skills like Excel, PowerPoint, Knowledge base content creation.
-
Developing, documenting, installing, and complying with automated monitoring console operations procedures.
-
Reporting utilization, tuning and server performance.
-
Providing capacity planning and management services for all equipment.
-
Implementing /utilizing tools, techniques and facilities for capturing and providing with relevant utilization data.
-
Problem management via ticket management tools and creating automation\Simplification of repetitive task.

1.4 Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Five to Seven years of experience in various aspects of technology infrastructure management and operations, with more than three years of experience in running larger scale data centers and technology expertise on VM Ware, Large scale Windows Systems Administration experience (Windows 2003/08/12 Servers)
