DC Infra Backup Administration

Support backups for global environment and Execute backup and restore in a virtualized infrastructure

Work closely with external vendors and other personnel in order to optimize and facilitate the best solution to meet the needs of the business

Strong knowledge in Migration & Datacenter Consolidation Administrate and architect backups for a global IT environment

Support backups for global environment and Execute backup and restore in a virtualized infrastructure

Experience with offsite backups, cold-site, hot-site DR & Storage hardware knowledge is a plus Ticket management; issue tracking, change log management

Document methods and procedures throughout the organization as it relates to Backup/DR functions for both Implementation, Support, and Maintenance

Ensure all backups have correct selections and are completing 100% on a timely schedule

Regularly run verification tests on backups ensuring restores are possible
-
Assist Technical Service team as well as Technical Advisors for client break/fix issues and/or consultation and technical advice
-
Identify areas of potential improvement and automation with service and product offerings; targeting reduced costs and improved recoverability
-
Adequate capacity planning ensuring storage is adequate for current and future backup needs
-
Maintain and Support all Backup/DR Software/Hardware

Maintain and Support systems utilized for Backup Storage (NAS/SAN/DAS) and/or work with storage teams accordingly
-
Technologies : VERITAS Netbackup / Veeam / Networker / AVAMAR
